Walleye Fishing Tips...

  • Most “drift-fish” the slopes of the main channel maintaining 10’ to 20’ depending on conditions.

  • Most popular is the use of “Lindy Rigs” bottom bouncers with 4’ to 10’ snells, one or two hooks on snell.

  • Most popular baits are leeches and night-crawlers.

  • Try a variety of beads, spinners and floats as well as snell lengths and depths depending on conditions.

Pike Fishing Tips...

  • Most popular is the use of spoons or crank baits.

  • Pike are aggressive so don’t be subtle with your presentation of tackle

  • The best places to fish for Pike on the river portion are at Eagles Nest or at the opening of the lake.

General Rule:

The stronger the current the more aggressive the combination you might try.

Unfortunately, most fish aren’t aware of the rules!
